Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy
This is a two-day course that includes 16 hours of course material designed to introduce the fire chaplain to ministry in the fire service. This class been recently revised. If you have not taken this class recently, you might consider retaking the class to enhance your skills with the latest and greatest in ministering to fire fighters, paramedics, and other first responders. This course is designed to prepare school administrators and others for the inevitable crises that occur within schools and/or that effect those in schools, this training reflects the 3 most common phases of a crisis: pre-crisis planning, acute crisis response and post-crisis activities. Special attention is given to the most common pitfalls (those that pose the most threat to school personnel from a liability standpoint) associated with crisis response activities. Participants will be given opportunities to explore the elements of effective crisis management through multiple group activities. Special attention will be given to school culture, community impact, and different populations. Instructor: Chaplain Ed of the Monarch Fire Protection District
